What VenueSootra collects, where it goes, and what we do not do with it. Written to describe this product specifically, not from a template.

What we collect
- Your account. Your email address and, if your sign-in provider supplies one, your name and profile picture. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see or store your password.
- Floor plans you upload or trace. The drawing itself, and the dimensions read from it.
- Plans you create. Seating layouts, stage positions, lighting rigs, saved events and anything else you build in the app.
- A session cookie, so the server knows the browser is signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies are set by us.
Where it goes
Your plans and venue records are stored on our own server. When you ask VenueSootra to read a
floor plan you have uploaded, the image is sent to a document-reading service to extract
dimensions from it. Depending on how the server is configured, that is
api.aimlapi.com or an equivalent provider; on some deployments the reading runs
locally on our own machine and the plan is never sent anywhere.
Two other third-party services may be called while you work — api.meshy.ai for
generating 3D models and api.perplexity.ai for venue research. Asset libraries
(polyhaven.com, ambientcg.com) are contacted for textures and
environments only; nothing of yours is sent to them.
We treat floor plans as non-confidential. A venue floor plan is a drawing of a room, not a personal record, and reading it is the point of the product — so it is sent to the reading service described above. If a particular drawing is sensitive to you, do not upload it. We would rather say this plainly than bury it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We do not use your floor plans or seating plans to train our own models.
- We do not track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
Your account and the plans you have saved are kept until you ask us to delete them. There is no self-service delete button yet — email us and we will remove your account and everything attached to it.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will act on it.
Security
Traffic to VenueSootra is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are verified against your provider's public keys; the server holds no administrative credential for your sign-in account.
VenueSootra is early software run by a small team. This page describes what the product does today and will be updated when that changes. It is not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
